When the operator was selected to provide service on four routes between Colina, Til Til, and Santiago, a new chapter began for electric mobility in Chile: intercity transportation. Unlike previous urban projects, this one required a completely different operational and technical approach.
From the beginning, we understood this was no conventional project. The routes were longer, the operation more demanding, and the technical requirements significantly different. That’s why we tailored our solution. We financed the acquisition of 40 electric coach-style buses, specifically designed for intercity routes, offering greater range, luggage capacity, and enhanced passenger comfort.
We supported the operator in structuring the technical and operational model, ensuring each component was aligned with the real conditions of the service. We also adapted the financial solution to ensure long-term sustainability.
This project is a milestone: it is the first electric intercity passenger public transport service in Chile. Beyond its pioneering nature, it proves that electric mobility is feasible even in complex settings—provided there is a solid structure, experience, and execution capability.
