The Fontibón project was Colombia’s first large-scale electric bus deployment, setting a precedent in the transition to electric mobility. Initially structured by Celsia, we took over the management of a next-generation fleet, raising the operational standards of public transportation in the country.
The main challenge was ensuring the buses’ performance under an unprecedented scheme in Colombia. To achieve this, we conducted a thorough evaluation of the technology and rigorous operational tests to guarantee its feasibility.
Moreover, this project reaffirmed our ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including local authorities and manufacturers. Fontibón strengthened our market presence and demonstrated our capability to execute complex initiatives with high efficiency.
